Hopefully, the devs could recreate the magic of O2Mania they once did in 2003. At least this time around, a new developer decided to remake the game which is good news for the fans. Avid fans of the game didn’t even get to properly say goodbye to O2Jam. Unfortunately, the publishers behind the game known as e-Games went bankrupt and had no other choice but to shut down servers. However, the developers did reassure fans that it’s definitely on the table as long as the Switch port will be a success.īefore games like Osu!, Rockband, and Guitar Hero came out, O2Jam was the Rhythm game that started it all. Given the amount of manpower the team currently has, we’re guessing that it’ll be difficult to divide their attention on multiple platform releases – specially two very different platforms such as the PC and the Nintendo Switch. Some Twitter users asked the team if a PC port would eventually be released as well. The developers behind O2Jam Rebirth are currently working with a small team. We’ll just have to keep ourselves posted with their official Twitter page for further announcements. As of the moment, there isn’t many additional information regarding O2Jam Rebirth. O2Jam is great for getting into music games, and it sure was cool in 2003-2005 (or whenever it came out, it was in that time), but I can't see sticking with it long term these days. Aside from that, the game will also feature 4 button modes: 4B, 5B, 6B, and 7B. Now I play DJMax Respect on PS4, and LR2 with a IIDX controller. The tweet mentions that the game will launch on Nintendo Switch ports by 2023. This big news originated from a Twitter post published by O2Jam’s slightly obscure social media account. It'll feature 4 buttons modes: 4B, 5B, 6B and 7B! Stay tuned for more information. The rebirth of O2JAM is coming out on the Nintendo Switch in 2023. The OG Rhythm game O2Jam is making a comeback on the Switch after nearly a 2-decade absence from the gaming world. If you were into the music game genre back in the early 2000s, then buckle up for a big surprise.
